Wilkomir Chaussee cemetery - Kaunas Slobodka Jewish Cemetery, Lithuania

The Jewish cemetery of Vilijampolė (Slobodka), on the road to Ukmergė (Wilkomir). Iudel Turets was buried here on 5 April 1917 — one of the family's few recorded graves in Lithuania, from the years before the community was destroyed. The cemetery itself was largely obliterated in the Soviet period, built over and turned into parkland, which makes the surviving burial record all the more valuable.
