Biography
Iudel Turets was born around 1852 in Žasliai, a son of Vulf Turets. He married Kune Brozovsky in Kaunas on 22 October 1882, and they had eight children — Vikhna Malke, Brayna, Volf, Yakov, Daniil, Vulf, Pere Dina and Ite. The family lived at 23 Schulstrasse, Kaunas. He died there on 5 April 1917, the day after his last recorded residence, and was buried at the Vilkomir Chaussee (Kaunas Slobodka) Jewish cemetery.
