Small town near Lublin that the Germans used as a Durchgangslager (transit ghetto) in the Lublin district: Jews deported from the Reich were held here briefly and then sent on to the Aktion Reinhard death camps at Bełżec or Sobibór. Erna Ester Tiefenbrunner and her granddaughter Edith Mia Sigall, deported from Munich via Regensburg, arrived here on 3 April 1942 and were murdered soon after (almost certainly at Bełżec).
