Summary This document is a Lithuanian archival file (Lietuvos centrinis valstybės archyvas, Fond 77, Inventory 28, File 11807) containing the personal/court file of Isaras Turecas, son of Jankelis, born 1913 in Kaunas — along with 19 co-defendants (including Gita Aronzonaitė, Dovydas Kamermanas, Sozajus Tolkačovas, Ignas Budenovas, and others) who were prosecuted by the Lithuanian Military Court for underground Communist/Bolshevik activity in and around Jonava, Ukmergė, and the Deltuva district in 1934. The file includes the 1936 indictment, detailed interrogation testimony, physical evidence (illegal newspapers and proclamations), a list of witnesses and defendants with their addresses/places of detention, press coverage of the trial verdict, and later archival registration cards (including Comintern/ECCI personnel cards from the 1950s). The core narrative: informant Dovydas Kamermanas — later exposed in court as a police provocateur — implicated Turecas as having been secretary of a Young Communist League cell in Kaunas around 1930 under the alias "Paulas." Turecas denied all charges, pointing out he would have been only about 15 years old at the time and could not have plausibly recruited an older Kamermanas. Despite his denial, he was convicted and sentenced to 8 years' hard labour. Other defendants received sentences ranging from acquittal to 12 years, largely based on Kamermanas's testimony, which defense counsel worked to discredit during the September 1936 trial.
