Biography

Lea Rivka Schneeweiss was born on 26 May 1866 in Raniżów, near Rzeszów in Galicia, a daughter of Bezalel Schneeweiss and Sara Schneeweiss. She married Leib Yehuda Hillinger and they had five children — Chaja Debora, Mendel, Aaron, Reisel Tzirel and Rachel (later Beeri). Fleeing Raniżów during the First World War, the family registered in Chemnitz on 9 November 1914. Lea Rivka was murdered in the Holocaust around 1942.
