Albert Gert Ettlinger

Albert Gert Ettlinger was born on 26 July 1908 in Mannheim. He married Suzan Schmidt in Chemnitz on 1 December 1936, and in October 1937 the couple emigrated from Hamburg to New York aboard the S.S. President Roosevelt, settling by April 1938 at 11 Manhattan Avenue. They had four children — Leonore Nannette, Roy, Shirley and Vivian — raised in Connecticut. Albert died in New Haven on 28 July 1975 and is buried at the Meriden Hebrew Cemetery.
