Biography

Fay Frimet, later Fay Schmidt, was born on 4 October 1922 in Vienna. She married Wolf Zeigfried Schmidt in Haifa on 4 May 1945, and on 5 October 1947 the couple sailed from Haifa to New York aboard the S.S. Rossia; she was naturalised there on 19 April 1954. She died in New York City on 9 October 2004 and is buried on Hart Island, the Bronx.
