Biography
Wolf Zeigfried Schmidt, a lawyer, was born on 25 July 1919 in Chemnitz, a son of Leib Schmidt and Chaja Debora Schneeweiss. He entered Mandatory Palestine on 4 March 1935, and in 1945 applied for Palestinian citizenship in Haifa. On 4 May 1945 he married Fay Frimet there. On 5 October 1947 the couple sailed from Haifa to New York aboard the S.S. Rossia, and he became a US citizen in New York on 15 March 1954. He died in the United States on 24 November 1966.
