Biography
Baruch Yitzhak Ber was born on 15 April 1907 in Pabianice. He was arrested and imprisoned on 15 October 1942 while at the Hasag-Pelcery forced labour camp in Częstochowa, and was later held at Buchenwald, arriving on 24 December 1944 before being transferred to Sachsenhausen on 5 January 1945. After liberation he passed through the Feldafing displaced persons camp, registered there on 2 October 1945. On 20 May 1946 he married Chana Estrajcher, and they had three daughters, Ester Lea Lily, Gila and Ora Rachel. The family immigrated to Israel on 12 February 1950. Baruch died in Israel on 5 July 2000 and is buried at Kiryat Shaul Cemetery, Tel Aviv.
