Biography
Chana Estrajcher, also recorded as Chanka, was born on 25 August 1915 in Sosnowiec, a daughter of Symcha Binem Estrajcher and Estera Laja Ernst. In 1939 she married [living relative]. During the war she was moved through the Landsberg am Lech and Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camps, registered at the Hohne DP camp near Bergen-Belsen in September 1945 and at Feldafing in May 1946. On 20 May 1946 she married Baruch Yitzhak Ber, and the couple had three daughters, Ester Lea Lily, Gila and Ora Rachel. They immigrated to Israel on 12 February 1950. Chana died in Israel on 11 December 1996 and is buried at Kiryat Shaul Cemetery, Tel Aviv.
