Sholom Porubansky

Sholom Porubansky, also recorded as Scholem, was born on 19 March 1891 in Vilnius, a son of Osher Porubansky and Rokhlia, née Koyransky, and worked as an electrician and jeweller. He lived from 1922 on Rūdninkų Street. On 28 October 1921, in Kaunas, he married Chana-Mira Schprinz, and they had a daughter, Cipora. From 1930 he ran a grocery business in Vilnius. He was murdered in the Holocaust at Ponar in 1941.
