Leia Porubansky, born Leia Pikelčik Nadel, was born on 4 October 1907 in Kaunas. On 15 December 1929, in Kaunas, she married Noson Bregmanas. During the war she was deported to the Stutthof concentration camp, arriving there from Kaunas on 13 July 1944, and survived. After liberation she returned to Kaunas and, at some point, became the second wife of the widower Berl Porubansky, living with him at Laisvės Alėja 89 from 1946. After Berl's death in 1963 she immigrated to Israel, reaching Haifa around the end of 1964. She died in Israel around 1966.
