Izrael Szlema Szternberg

Izrael Szlema Szternberg was born on 30 December 1906 in Sosnowiec, a son of Icek Szternberg and Frajda Jochweta Krakauer, and trained as a tailor. He arrived in Belgium in September 1925, settling in Antwerp. He married Andree Bomon and they had four children, Serge Isedore, Guy Philippe, Benoit and Liliane. He died in Antwerp on 30 March 1965 and is buried there, in the Shomre Hadas section of the Israelite Municipality cemetery.
