Biography
Sima Singer, born Sima Szternberg, was born on 27 February 1920 in Sosnowiec, a daughter of Icek Szternberg and Frajda Jochweta Krakauer, sharing a birthdate with her sister Szajndla Ester. Between 1942 and 1945 she too was held at the Parschnitz forced labour camp. After liberation she moved to the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp, then to the Jever DP camp on 11 July 1950, and to the Föhrenwald DP camp near Munich on 13 August 1951. She immigrated to Israel on 16 September 1951, with her eligibility for resettlement finally confirmed that November. She married Yehoshua Singer. Sima died in Tel Aviv on 29 December 2007 and is buried at the Yarkon Cemetery.
