Biography

Izrail Szymon Estrajcher was born on 7 July 1902 in Sosnowiec, a son of Symcha Binem Estrajcher and Estera Laja Ernst. He married Chana Perla Weltfraid and they had five children. From around 1932 the family's last recorded home was Sochaczew, west of Warsaw. In 1939 he made a donation to the Jewish community in Sosnowiec, and by 1940 the family had been moved into the Środula ghetto, from Schuhgasse 22 to Rehweg 3. He died in the Warsaw ghetto on 31 May 1943.
